47.71 MILES OF NEW FIBER LINE
Deeply Digital is working with Ouray County, Montrose County, Region 10, Town of Ridgway, and the City of Ouray to build over 43 miles of grant-funded fiber from Montrose to Ouray. In addition to the fiber connection for the Public Health Department, this fiber is an open-access project that will bring redundancy and faster internet speeds to the region.
PHASE 1
MONTROSE TO LOGHILL
Phase 1 of this project is to construct a new fiber optic circuit from Montrose, CO to the ridge of Loghill Mesa, near Ridgway, CO. Construction has begun near Loghill Village and is expected to continue until July of 2020. Multiple crews will be working in both Montrose and Ouray counties alongside County Road 1, Uncompahgre Road, Pahgre Road, and Kinikin Road.
PHASE 2
LOGHILL TO OURAY
After construction of Phase 1, our crews will move to extending the new circuit into Ridgway and then on into Ouray. The open-access fiber portion of the project will bring the fiber circuit into two new Carrier Neutral Locations (CNL) in both Ridgway and Ouray. These will act as hubs that other providers can use to connect to the redundant circuit, offering better reliability and speed.
CONSTRUCTION
Our crews will be working on and beside the roadways in your area to lay multiple conduits for fiber optic lines underground. Our crews move around to maintain progress and finish as efficiently as possible. Please bear with us as we work to build this new circuit for your community.
