Bayfield community Anchor Network

Deeply Digital partnered on the planning and consturction of a middle-mile fibe network designed to connect a key community anchor institutions while establishing a scalable backbone for future broadband expansion throughout Bayfield, Colorado.

Project Overview

Reliable Broadband Begins With Strong Backbone Infrastructure
This project focused on constructing a community fiber backbone that connects essential public facilities – schools, municipal buildings, public safety, and community resources -through a resilient middle-mile network. The project was designed to improve connectivity between critical anchor institutions while supporting future broadband growth throughout the community. Rather than building isolated connections, the network established shared infrastructure capable of supporting long-term expansion, increased redundancy, and future last-mile deployments.

Infrastructure Spotlight

What are Community Anchor Institutions?

Anchor institutions are essential community facilities, such as schools, municipal buildings, healthcare facilities, and public safety organizations, that rely on high-capacity fiber connectivity.
