Delivering End-to-End Fiber Infrastructure for the City of Cortez
The City of Cortez set out to build a future-ready broadband network capable of delivering reliable, high-speed fiber internet to homes and businesses throughout the community. Deeply Digital developed a comprehensive Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) deployment strategy that combined network engineering, outside plant (OSP) design, construction planning, GIS asset management, and municipal coordination into one cohesive solution.
From backbone infrastructure and neighborhood distribution routes to individual customer connections, the network was purpose-built for reliability, efficiency, and long-term scalability, creating a foundation for multi-gigabit internet service, economic development, and the community’s future connectivity needs.

What is Fiber-To-The-Home (FTTH)?
Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH), also referred to as Fiber-to-the-Premise (FTTP) or FTTX—extends fiber optic infrastructure directly to homes and businesses, creating a reliable, high-capacity connection capable of supporting today’s bandwidth demands while remaining scalable for future technologies.
Unlike legacy copper networks, FTTH infrastructure provides greater reliability, symmetrical speeds, and significantly more capacity, making it the foundation for modern communities and economic growth.

CONSTRUCTION
Our crews will be working on and beside the roadways in your area to lay multiple conduits for fiber optic lines underground. Our crews move around to maintain progress and finish as efficiently as possible. Please bear with us as we work to build this new circuit for your community.
Here are some reasons why we may be working in a different area:

Much of our crew’s progress will depend on the weather. Crews may be working in a single section one day and move to a different section as the weather permits.

We utilize trenching, plowing, boring, and sometimes aerial poles to get our fiber from point A to point B. You’ll find different crews with different equipment throughout the project.

Our construction operates in phases, and you will likely see crews return to some areas. After the digging is complete, we’ll return to pull fiber through the conduit, and finally splice fiber along the route.
